Children’s Book Illustration

When creating this children’s book, I wrote a reimagined version of “Rumplestiltskin”, which I called “The Girl, the Gold, and the Goblin”. For this book I used paper-cut illustrations, one of my favorite styles of art. In a shallow box I built up layers of hand-cut shapes, using foam board to lift each piece to the desired height. This type of illustration uses a whole different skill-set than what I was used to, but the outcome was well-worth it.
